PHYSICAL COMEDY & PLAY WORKSHOP

Oliver Nilsson is a performer from Sweden specialising in clown, physical comedy, mime, and slapstick, a graduate of Jacques Lecoq International School of Theatre (2017) in Paris. Oliver co-created the physical comedy show Scotland! by The Latebloomers, which has been touring festivals and winning awards worldwide. He’ll be returning to Adelaide in February with Scotland! and a new theatre comedy show, The Bakers.

Oliver and Britt will through physical exercises and theatre games teach you new skills in physical comedy, clown, and slapstick. Teaching the pedagogy of internationally renown French theatre practitioners Jacques Lecoq and Philippe Gaulier, you will explore Le Jeu, ‘The Game’, and find the pleasure of playing on the stage, building and maintaining connections with fellow performers and the audience, and help you discover what is uniquely funny and interesting about you.

This is a workshop aimed at anybody with the thirst for performance, and connecting with an audience; industry professionals, emerging artists, beginners... We believe all levels can work together and discover something beautiful.
